What happens at the first visit? Your first visit will be an examination to gain information so Dr. White can make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. A written report will be provided to both you and your Dentist. If your treatment plan is complex, Dr. White may ask that you return to our office for a second visit so that he can spend time with you discussing your treatment options.
What does it cost? The cost of Periodontal services vary with the type of treatment needed. In general, early diagnosis of Periodontal disease increases the chance for non-surgical treatment and reduces cost. More advanced cases often require surgical therapy. Our office will be happy to advise you of the cost for the first visit over the phone. Dr. White will provide you with a list of all anticipated costs for treatment.
For your convenience we accept payment plans through CareCredit. Please visit their website for more information on their fee plans.
Do you accept insurance? Yes. To reduce out of pocket expenses, we accept payment from dental insurance and we are a member of Delta Dental Plan of Arkansas. All patients, except those using Delta Dental Plan, are asked to pay for the initial visit in full. On subsequent visits, you will be asked to pay a portion of each fee, based upon anticipated insurance benefits. After insurance payments are received, the remaining balance will be due in full. Our fees are not based on insurance but on the quality of care provided and often exceed insurance reimbursement. Several insurance plans will not pay us directly, requiring their clients to pay in full for all services. These companies include Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arkansas, USable, Delta Dental "Tricare" of California and Blue Advantage.
How soon can I schedule an appointment? We can normally schedule your examination within 2 weeks. If you are in pain, we will see you within 24 hours. We make every effort to accommodate special situations that require more prompt examination and treatment.
